A Wal-Mart laptop computer thief has struck again. Two times the same man has walked into the Brownsburg Wal-Mart with an empty cart and walked out with a load of high-end merchandise.

The latest incident was Tuesday morning a little after midnight. The store's surveillance cameras capture the man taking approximately eight Dell laptops and then quickly getting away in a dark colored, possibly a Ford Windstar minivan driven by an accomplice.

"The store has easy access to Interstate 74 and there is not much traffic in Brownsburg during the midnight hour," said Brownsburg Police Capt. Jeff Gray.

Detectives compared the new video with surveillance video captured on August 4th and they determined the same man did the same thing on both nights.

On August 4th, the man is seen on video in a striped shirt and jean shorts loading a shopping cart full of four computers and a package of toilet paper.

The video also shows the Wal-Mart store greeter ask the laptop bandit for a receipt, but his request was ignored.

In that case the man is seen loading up merchandise into 2-tone, 1970's or 1980's model Chevrolet conversion van and then he drives himself away from the store.

"They valued that theft at roughly $1800," said Capt. Gray.

Brownsburg Police are hoping the release of the video will bring in leads from the public.
