Teen dies in double shooting, second victim critical

Police search for suspects after an overnight shooting on Indianapolis' west side. One victim, a teenager, has died. A second victim was rushed into emergency surgery. (WXIN / April 2, 2010)

UPDATE: The victim in a west side double shooting has been identified. IMPD said 16 year-old Dante Lott was killed just after 1:00 a.m. in the 3300 block of Tara Lane, near 30th Street and Moller Road.


A 17 year-old was also shoot during the incident. He survived and at last check (2:40 p.m. Friday), he was in critical condition.

A teenager is dead and another is fighting for their life after a double shooting on the city's west side.

The shooting occurred just before 1:30 a.m. Friday morning near 34th and Moller Road. One victim died at the scene. The other was rushed into emergency surgery. At last check, the second victim was in critical condition.

Names have not been released. IMPD said they are still searching for a suspect.
