Wine connoisseurs can save a lot of money by trying a local winery.

Easley Winery off of College and 2nd Street near downtown Indianapolis has been opened since 1974. It's the oldest family-owned winery in the state of Indiana.

Depending on the year and season, Easley offers up to 25 different wines. The winery is located in the Cole-Noble Commercial Arts District, only half a mile from the Monument Circle in downtown Indianapolis.

Vistors from Texas told FOX59,  that they loves Easley Winery.

"It's just the general flavor, the finish, it's a good wine. And we like the price too, for the price it's a very good wine."

How good is the pricing? How about a daily wine tasting of seven wines for only $2? That's right, $2!

"Luckily, everyone seems to enjoy themselves when they come here so they come back and they tell their friends about it, and they always take wine home,. That's the biggest endorsement we can have," owner Meredith Easley said.

Easley Winery gets their grapes from Indiana, Michigan, New York and California. They have free winery tours on Saturdays and Sundays. They also have a free outdoor music series that runs on Tuesdays from 5-7 p.m. and on Saturdays from 2-5 p.m. The series runs for the entire summer.

They have several popular wines, especially the Reggae Red.

"We don't take it too seriously. We want to make sure people know that they have a relaxed environment when they come in here," said Joe Pellman, Web Media Coordinator for Easley Winery.

Come in they do. Owners make sure it's never so packed, though, so customers don't feel like they're waiting in line to try another wine.

Easley will have wines displayed on Saturday, June 4th at the Vintage Indiana Festival. The festival features more than 250 wines, food and entertainment.
