Indiana University

Indiana University in Bloomington, Ind., was known as Seminary State when classes began in 1824. The name was changed to Indiana College in 1828 and it became Indiana University in 1838. The school offers more than 130 undergraduate majors and more than 320 other degree programs. Enrollment at the beginning of the 2007 school year was 38,990.
