  5. GM announces another major expansion, new jobs for Bedford plant

    General Motors announced Wednesday the company plans to make another investment in its Bedford, Indiana plant. By 2013, the company expects to hire another 58 workers for a total of 91 created and retained jobs. Initially, GM plans to invest $49 million in a new production line creating block and case castings for a new, eight-speed automatic transmission that will be built in Toledo, Ohio.
