The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco & Firearms will send a team of investigators to Brown County Wednesday to begin an investigation into the weekend fire that destroyed the Little Nashville Opry.
The concert hall was leveled by a blaze that began in the back dressing area and was reported about an hour after the curtain came down on Saturday night's show. The fire caused an estimated $3 million in damages to the site which has been home to some of the biggest names in country western music.

ATF agent Jim Rose said about 20 investigators, including chemists, engineers and polygraph examiners will meet Wednesday afternoon to walk the scene before literally digging into the debris Thursday morning. Evidence will then be forwarded on to federal laboratories for analysis.
Federal investigators were instrumental in determining that a fire that heavily damaged the Cosmopolitan project in downtown Indianapolis last March was intentionally set. A suspect has been jailed in that case.
State Fire Marshal James Greesen requested federal assistance late Monday afternoon as the scope of the investigation, and the lack of an immediate origin and cause, outstripped state and local resources.
