A central Indiana teacher is under investigation after reportedly hosting an under-aged drinking party at her home. It happened this past weekend in Johnson County and ended when two teenagers crashed their car.

Friday night authorities say homeowners in Nineveh hosted an under-age drinking party for their daughter and her friends. The female homeowner is a teacher in at Holy Cross Central in Indianapolis.

Hours later Saturday morning, two teenagers crashed their car on State Road 44 in Shelby County. Police say the teens had been drinking, and were told they had been drinking at the Nineveh residence in Johnson County.

Authorities went to question the homeowners, and discovered 9 teenagers had spent the night. Five were cited for drinking under the age of 21. Police do not believe the homeowners provided the alcohol, and believe the parents took everyone's car keys.

"Even thought she thought she was going the right thing she should've never-never even gone to what she did. I mean it's the law. You're not allowed to drink alcohol until you're 21 in this state and she chose to let it happen," said Prince's Lakes Town Marshal Greg Southers.

Prosecutors in Johnson County are now investigating, and say charges against the homeowners could follow.
