Investigators say the father of four left the Chicago suburb of Boillingbrook one week ago and drove down to Edinburgh, Indiana for business.

Surveillance video of Flood coming in the front door and checking in at the Hampton Inn in Edinburgh last Wednesday was provided, but went to snow while he was checking in. Flood a married father of our and a part time baseball coach from a Chicago suburb hasn't been seen since.
Flood and his family live in Boilingbrook, Illinois. Police canvassed the neighborhood in squad cars and talked with Flood's wife who wouldn't speak to reporters.
The Hampton Inn is over 200 miles away at the I-65 Taylorsville Edinburgh exit.

Flood is in the scrap metal business and often carries between $10,000 and $15,000 in cash to buy car catalytic converters in bulk. Flood checked into the hotel at 4pm last Wednesday charging his credit card for one night. Police think he was here for business. Thursday Flood's wife reported him missing when he didn't show for his son's baseball game. At the hotel police found his cell still on the charger, his laptop and a duffel of clothes. There was no sign of forced entry.
There is now an interesting twist to this story. Remember Stephen flood check in at the Edinburgh Hampton inn 4pm last weds. Now police say nine hours later his wife was attacked around midnight in their home near Chicago. The intruder punched her in the face and left once she started screaming.
Police say she couldn't see the man who attacked her in the bedroom because it was dark. Right now investigators only have the grainy surveillance video. They hope someone comes forward who knows where he is even if foul play is involved.
Police think Stephen Flood was driving a 2005 black Chevrolet pick-up truck with Illinois license plate 68496G.
Police are also asking you to look out for a 2008 Silver Kia Minivan again with Illinois plates 2200645 which is also owned by Flood.
Stephen Flood is six feet tall, weighs 185 with brown hair and brown eyes. If you have any information call the Bartholomew County Sheriff's Department.
