An Indiana mayor's son is at the center of a State Police investigation for child pornography.
In tiny Mitchell Indiana, Isaac Terrell proves no one is above the law. "I'd say unusual is a fair word. Probably even rare. I was very surprised," said State Police Sgt. Curt Durnil.
State Police got a tip the 23-year-old had images on his cell phone that were not only inappropriate, but that were also illegal. The investigation began in late July, and on Tuesday, Terrell was arrested.
"Detectives were able to find several pictures of a naked female teenaged body," said Sgt. Durnil.
That teenager is only 13-years-old.
Isaac Terrell was not only a Mitchell Police dispatcher at the time, he is also the son of Dan Terrell - the town's mayor.
The mayor declined to comment on his son's arrest for possession of child pornography, releasing a statement, that read in part:
"The City of Mitchell has reassigned Isaac Terrell to duty with another city department pending the result of his criminal case."
If convicted, Isaac Terrell could face up to 3 years in jail and a $10,000 fine.
