Thursday evening, August 13th, 2009 the Indiana State Police at the Bloomington Post responded to a shots-fired, domestic disturbance call at Front Street in Quincy, IN. in northern Owen County.
The investigation has revealed a domestic disturbance and struggle ensued between Stanley L. Smith, 56 and Angela K. Carman, 57 while in the residence. The struggle left Smith dead from an apparent gunshot wound from an air rifle. Smith's autopsy was performed Saturday morning in Terre Haute. The couple was not married.
Carman was arrested and taken to the Owen County Jail, where she is being held at this time. Her initial hearing was on Friday the 14th at 1:00 pm. She has been charged with Reckless Homicide in the death of Stanley Smith.
