Plane Crash in Martinsville Injures Four
Investigators remain on the scene Friday evening of a small plane crash in Morgan County that injured four people.

The pilot of the single engine plane over-ran a small landing strip near Martinsville, stalled the aircraft, and dove nose first into two parked cars on the used car lot at T & K Auto Sales at around 3:00 pm on Friday.

The pilot, a passenger, and two car lot employees were injured but it appears everyone will survive the Friday afternoon incident.

"The plane was in a stall and actually died when it crashed. The propeller had stopped turning," eyewitness Steve Williams said.

Williams says the crash has him concerned about his new hobby. He had just begun taking flying lessons at the airport Thursday.

The pilot told police that he was trying to land, but was coming in too hot. He tried to take off again, clipped a power line, and crashed into some vehicles.
