The storm damage in Clinton County was relatively minor. In the Frankfort area residents described a few frightening moments, but the only structure to sustain any real damage was a brand new barn.
The barn was on the Pilotte's property in Frankfort. The homeowners described straight line winds blowing through and rip apart the barn they just finished building a year ago. It housed a truck, several boats, tools and building supplies.
More Severe Storms Expected Today
"I got a call from a neighbor saying you better come home. Your barn is on the ground. That there's a lot of winds. He said it blew the doors in and just blew the barn apart....Thank goodness for insurance! It will go back up again. Everything is replaceable," said homeowner Alvin Pilotte.
Several trees in the Frankfort area were also toppled.
No one was injured.
