Humane Society workers got a hold of the pomeranians just in the nick of time. One tested positive for heartworm which is a deadly disease if it's not treated. Other dogs had sat in their urine so long that they had urine burns on their bottoms. They all have rotten teeth and some were too thin from not getting enough food. One dog was even covered in ticks.

The Humane Society for Hamilton County ended up with six pomeranians after they discovered 15 dogs living in horrible conditions inside a kennel in Westfield. The woman who lives at the house stopped breeding dogs three years ago and now claims she has a medical condition that prevents her from taking care of the animals.
"I don't know if I understand the decision behind keeping 15 and knowing you can't really give them proper care", said Rebecca Stevens, Humane Society.
The woman agreed to surrender six of the dogs that needed help the most. The Humane Society is now cleaning them up and getting them ready for adoption. But there's a warning to people who want to be the new owners. The pomeranians require a lot of attention. You can call 317- 773-4974
